This is our process:

I. Book the date.

I have a developed a seamless process that makes it easy for you to see and book my availability right away, no more back and forth about dates and times and what works for both of us. After a quick 10 minute phone call (phone call is optional) to discuss details, securing your date and time is easy as clicking a button.

II. Take photos.

Show up for your photos feeling prepared!

You will have my full support in planning your session. You will receive a digital guide to help you prepare right after you book. I will also be available via text or phone call if you have any questions, so when your session comes, all you have to do is show up! I have diapers, wipes, wraps, drinks, and snacks in my studio, so don't stress about forgetting anything!

III. Deliver memories.

I have not met a mom who is not SUPER busy! My process is simple so you don't have to schedule another session to see and buy your images. During your session at my studio, I'll show you a sample of my beautiful albums. If you want to include one, great! If not, no worries. Once your session is done, I'll send your gallery straight to your email. If you picked an album with your images, it will be mailed right to your doorstep. No separate appointment needed!

As a resident family and newborn photographer in Winchester, VA, I know firsthand what the traffic can be like around here, and the last thing I want is for you to have to make a needless round trip to my studio. Easy and stress-free is what I aim for in every single one of my session. :)

DO YOU POSE BABIES AND USE PROPS?

No, I do not do taco or frog poses with my tiny clients. In my newborn sessions, I celebrate the perfection of babies. I never place babies in unnatural poses; instead, I let them guide the session, ensuring a stress-free experience. I use gentle, neutral wraps and onesies, with the intention that you'll always remember your precious, tiny bundle just as they are – small and utterly perfect.

HOW LONG IS THE STUDIO SESSION?

As a seasoned newborn photographer, I can tell you to anticipate a minimum of 2 hours at my studio in Winchester, VA. This extended timeframe allows for feeding, moments of rest, and diaper changes, ensuring your baby's comfort and contentment. In contrast, other studio sessions typically wrap up within an hour.

WHAT SHOULD I BRING TO THE STUDIO?

During newborn sessions, I supply all the necessary wraps for the shoot, but you're encouraged to bring any blankets or hats that hold sentimental value for you. A comprehensive explanation of this is available in the 'What to Expect' packet, which I send to clients upon booking their session. For older babies and milestone sessions, I keep props minimal and in neutral colors. Feel free to get in touch with me, and I'll gladly provide further information.

WHEN IS THE BEST TIME TO TAKE PICTURES OF NEWBORNS

The best time to capture beautiful photographs of newborns is typically within the first two weeks of their life, ideally during the initial 5 to 10 days. This early period allows us to capture those precious moments when your baby is still in that delicate, sleepy state and has that fresh, newborn look. However, every baby is unique, and I can be flexible to accommodate your baby's needs and preferences.
